Terjemahan Makna Al-Qur`ān Al-Karīm ke Bahasa Inggris oleh Taqiyuddin Al-Hilāli dan Muḥsin Khān

إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ

1. Verily, We have sent it (this Qur’ân) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree).[1]

(V.97:1) "Therein (that night) is decreed every matter of ordainments." [The Qur’ân, (Verse 44:4)]** ** i.e., the matters of deaths, births, provisions, calamities for the whole (coming) year as decreed by Allâh.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ

2. And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?

لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ

3. The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allâh in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months).

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ

4. Therein descend the angels and the Rûh [Jibrîl (Gabrîl)] by Allâh’s Permission with all Decrees,

سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ

5. (All that night), there is Peace (and Goodness from Allâh to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.[2]

(V.97:5) Narrated ‘Âishah رضي الله عنها: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 3, Hadith No.234).
